How do we assess your application?

Bachelor Admissions

International Business

International Business is a numerus fixus programme with selection by the educational institution. This means that you go through a selection process after applying. Due to the limited number of places, we cannot offer a place to every applicant who meets the admission requirements.

Only complete application files will be presented to the Board of Admission. Their assessment is based on your:

  • International Classroom Essay (33%)
  • Curriculum vitae + supporting documents (33%)
  • Grades of your penultimate year of secondary school (see certified statement of grades) (33%)

Economics and Business Economics

If you submit the International Classroom essay and if you meet the other admission criteria (diploma requirement and mathematics requirement), your application will be assessed by the International Classroom committee.

All other BSc programmes (Business Analytics, Business Engineering and Econometrics and Operations Research)

If you submit all required documents before the application deadline and if you meet the admission criteria (diploma requirement and mathematics requirement), you will be admitted. If you do not meet the criteria, your application will be rejected. We will inform you via e-mail.

Master Admissions

The Board of Admission evaluates the quality of your application by looking at your GMAT score (if applicable*), IELTS/TOEFL score (if applicable*), Grade Point Average (GPA), the level of statistics and mathematics and at how well your bachelor’s programme corresponds with the master’s programme. Besides this, the Board looks at your motivation, relevant work experience, international experience and extra-curricular activities. Based on this information, the Board of Admission will decide whether you can be admitted to the programme or not.

*Note on standardised tests:

  • In case you did your Bachelor in the Netherlands/Flanders or if your school is accredited by AACSB or EQUIS, you may submit a “Proof of Academic Capabilities” (template will be provided) instead of a GMAT (or GRE) score.
  • English language test certificates (TOEFL, IELTS, …) are not required if you are an EU citizen or did your previous education in English.

Assessment happens on a rolling basis. This means that, once you submit a complete file with all the minimum required scores, it will be presented to the Board of Admission. We will not wait until the deadline before we present your file to the Board. You will receive a decision within 2-4 weeks after completion of your file.
